Something Old - Something New

Vicki and Mark were thinking about something old, something new etc. for their wedding day and had been looking back at the old photos of all the family weddings, confirmations and christenings that have taken place at St. James Church, Elmers End, Beckenham. They spotted this lucky horseshoe my mother was given on her wedding day in 1957.

Mum still had it tucked away in the back of the wedding photo album and Vicki asked if she could have it for her wedding day. When we looked closer it needed some attention where the staples and wires had been and the flowers and ribbons were rather crumpled and in need of replacement. I decided to personalise it for their colour scheme of burgundy and ivory.

So this is what I came up with.

Blossoms and ribbons - Hobbycraft
Cardsock - Bazzill
chalk inks
Sweetheart cartridge - Cricut

  1. Oh Lynn, how lovely are those photos! And I just know that beautiful horseshoe will be treasured for ever. I have a black cat that was my Mum's on her wedding day and then it had a makeover for me on mine.....so lovely!.xxx
