Adelaide

Here is the first layout I created for the Papermaze Design Team using the very pretty April Papermaze Kit. There is a rose theme this month, with pretty pinks and greens.

Adelaide 1831 - 1911 - for this heritage layout I have used this portrait photo of one of my father's ancestors. I have typed up all I know about her and how we are related. This was printed out and stuck to the back of the page for future generations to understand where she fits in. I was lucky to make contact with someone on Ancestry who had a lot of photos to share from this branch of the family.

From the Kit I used:

Simple Stories - My Valentine collection - My SweetheartSimple Stories - So Happy Together collection - My Squad

Gems
Bazzill Cardstock - Flamingo and Quartz
From my own stash I added:
Lace, pleated ribbon

Stampendous Frantage Embossing Enamel - Shabby Pink
Paper roses
Martha Stewart Punches
Crystal Stickles
Glossy Accents

You Bring Sunshine...

Another layout for the Bramfield Monthly Crop Challenge No 1 - Ray of Sunshine.

These photos of Scarlett were taken last month just before lock down, when she was visiting her Great Nan.

I used some old Bo Bunny papers from the Believe collection. (Radiance, Faith and Devotion). My title letters are a variety of stickers in different fonts and colours from Doodlebug Designs Inc.

The edges were inked with Black Soot Distress Ink, and then I outlined everything with a fine (0.3) marker.

I gutted the paper with the clouds, which allowed me to cut three clouds to place on the layout. I found some large coloured gems to finish off.

Thanks for looking.

Star Spangled Banner

When in Washington last December we visited the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. In the entrance hall we saw this amazing sculpture representing the flag that inspired the National Anthem. This is for this weekend's challenge on The Bramford's Monthly Scrapbooking Crop Challenge No. 2 - STRIPES (and lots of stars on mine!).

For this layout I used a SVG file designed by Paige Evans called 'Star Wreath', I cut this on the Cricut in red white and blue.

With a sheet of Maja Designs - Life By The Sea - Marina paper I gutted a frame for the layout using the star side uppermost. saving the remaining piece for later.

I mounted a sheet of white
Bazzill over the frame, and placed the blue star wreath just left of the centre. I made two photo mats using the spare Marina Paper. I placed on piece star side upper most under the photo and off set the other with the stripes uppermost beneath. These were placed to the bottom right of the layout and wreath.

The I took some of the stars from all three wreaths and placed them randomly around the wreath, some were made dimensional with foam tape. I added Stickles to all the white stars.

From my stash of alphabet stickers I found three different glittery alphas one each in red, white and blue to spell out the title.
Finally I added a smattering of clear gems over the page.

This Boy is Spectacular!

Andrew first wore glasses when he was three, here he is in 1996 on the steam train , North Norfolk Railway.

This layout was inspired by one I saw but can't find again to acknowledge.

I used black and white Bazzill cardstock and both sides of a sheet of Paper Moxie - Doctor, Doctor - Seeing Clearly paper.

The letters were cut with a Sizzix Bigz XL alphabet die and some Funky Foam.

I cut the glasses from Black Bazzill with the Cricut.

Girl On Tour

Back today with the fourth layout from the brightly colourful March Papermaze Kit. I have had more fun creating with rainbow colours for this layout.

My daughter is on tour with PW Productions and The Woman In Black, and they travelled to Washington DC last December, as Stage Manager she had to organise the costume and prop luggage as well as her own! Here she is arriving back at Heathrow.

I was initially inspired by
a layout made by Neftali Zambrano, although she used stitching and I went for paint, making for a very different effect.

From the kit I used:
Petalsoft & White Bazzill
Dear Lizzy - She's Magic collection - Round TripSimple Stories - Hey Crafty Girl collection - Crafty & Happy Pink Paislee puffy words stickers
chipboard quote
Stitched hearts

From my own stash I used:
Acrylic paint
Tim Holtz tag dies

For full details of the layout please see the Scrap Paper Scissors Blog.

Thanks for looking, back with the kit for April later this month.

Miss Liquorice Allsort

Not set up at all!!! Well maybe just a few cat treats involved in getting these photos.

I used two sheets of Doodlebug Designs Inc. - So Punny collection - Gummi A Kiss paper, one to make the box lid in the photos and the other as a frame for this layout. I gutted the paper to make a deep frame, and used the flip side (Black with dots) to mount the photos.

I used Blackbird Bazzill for the box and the layout. White Bazzill was also used in the layout.

I rounded the edges of the cardstock with a punch. The title was created with Pink Fresh Studio Office Hours Puffy Alpha Stickers.

Merry & Bright

At last I have used the Papermaze 2019 Christmas Crop Kit! I didn't get a chance to make up the kit at the December Crop, and when I received this photo of my nephew's family I thought it would be ideal.

So another layout completed for Sam's Album.

Green Eggs & Ham

This is the third layout I have made using this photograph of the children on their 5th birthday in 1997. They loved the Dr. Seuss books and their cousin, Heather gave them each a T-Shirt. I have made a layout for each of their albums (please see the other two below).

I have used Bazzill cardstock in the colours used on the covers of the books. I printed some images from the internet, and carefully cutout. The lettering was cut with the aid of the Cricut.

First Day at School

Catherine's first day at St. Paulinus Primary School. The teacher took each child's photograph which was a lovely idea.

I used papers from Pinkfresh Studio's My Favourite Story collection, and white Bazzill.

The title was cut from Funky Foam with a Bigz XL Sizzix Alpha die. With the Thinlits Rosette die set I cut the three rosettes, and added ribbon.
I scattered small letter stickers over the page (Pink Paislee Puffy Word Stickers).

Tree Hugger

I dug out an old collection of papers from Bo Bunny for this layout - Autumn Dreams. The photo is my daughter Emily in Hall Place Gardens.

I fussy cut the foxes, flowers, leaves, flags and pumpkins. Cut a large circle and various other pieces. I used some texture past through a TH layering stencil. I used letter stickers from my stash.

With the remaining paper I made a few cards:
