Up On Top Of The World

The photo of Alan and me used here was taken by Catherine, when we visited the Battlesbridge Antiques Centre, Essex a few years ago (2008). We were having a break from browsing the different units within the converted old granary building, right at the very top, with a welcome cuppa!

Battlesbridge has over 80 dealers housed in a variety of old buildings and courtyards. They are just off the A130 on the banks of the River Crouch, midway between Chelmsford and Southend. They buy and sell a wide range of antiques, collectables, crafts, architectural items, garden ornaments, fireplaces and reproductions. With valuation, restoration and interior design services.

I purchased and used these new Basic Grey Plumeria papers from from Jill at Cardinal Colours on the same day! I used papers (Flowerset for the background, Cleopatra for the mat and purple circle and Velvet Bloom for flowers), element stickers and alphabet stickers.
I added a few tiny letter stickers from My Little Shoebox for 'of the'.
The dandelion was created with part of a larger Woodware Stamp (grasses).
I also used a Martha Stewart corner punch for the lacy circle and the photo corners.
The papers were distressed with a Making Memories distressing tool and inked with chalk inks.
The flowers are made by dismantling some earrings from Primark, and some paper wired roses.
Lots of stickles, perfect pearls and flat backed pearls.

Thanks for looking.
