Vintage Valentine

OK so I'm a bit out of season here, but this card just developed that way, so I'm ready early for next year! The theme for the June card challenge on Scrapology this month is set by Hels Sheridan and she chose 'Vintage'.

I had some Kaiser Craft 'Sweet Nothings' (from Merly Impressions) papers left over from a previous project and decided to use them as they were ideal.

I made a circular easel card bu cutting two cards in cream Bazzill, using the Cricut and the Wild Card cartridge. (p42 doily blackout @ 5 1/2") On one I traced the pattern from the other to complete a circle where the fold should be and cut the front from the back to leave me with one complete scalloped circle and one card. Scored and fold the card. Then score and fold the front of the card in half again.

Using the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge cut the circles for the front and it inside of the card. (cut 2 circles in Aqua Bazzill @ 4 3/4" Q shift, then cut 2 circles in with love patterned paper, blue side up @4 1/2" Q shift).
Cut one clock face using Sizzix die in brown Bazzill.

On Scalloped Circle layer up aqua circle, paper circle and clock face, inking all the edges as you go. Add hands to clock face with a brad.

Cut Cherub from 'Falling for you' paper, add to right of circle, sitting on the inner ring of the clock. Use 3D foam to add dimension.
Add paper roses and fronds punched from patterned paper with Martha Stewart punch.
Use stickles to highlight fronds, flowers and cherubs sash.

Take the folded card. Add adhesive to free side of folded card front. Mount prepared Circle onto this area.
Treat inside of card base the same as the front with the two inked circles.
Punch a decorative strip and add across the middle. Add a ribbon and tie in a large bow to the left and trim. This acts as the stopper for the easel effect.

Take the 'Sweet Nothings' Run Ons and rub greeting and butterfly onto a spare piece of patterned paper. Punch out with Stampin' Up 1 3/4" circle punch. Mount this onto a 2" scalloped circle punched from aqua Card with a Woodware punch. Ink, and stick layers together, mount to right of ribbon with 3D foam pads. Add liquid pearls to decorate.
Stick flat backed pearls around the scalloped edges of the card inside and out..

Inspired by December '11 issue of Kaiser Craft Workshop Magazine.
