New Home

Mum and Dad are all set to move home nest week so I thought I had better get on with this card I have been meaning to make for them. I used a die cut sheet from Jolly (Paper) Nation. I have to say I prefer the images you cut yourself, as the paper is thinner and easier to use. I find you still need to trim the die cut images as there is usually a white halo round each image which I don't like to see, it looks like you have not bothered to cut the out properly. I thought this image very appropriate as they will be moving all their goods including Mum's vast tea pot collection!

I cut the greeting with the Cricut and the card is an 8x8" blue card from Craftwork Cards.

Step by step with the Cricut

I was trying out Linda's new toy, the Cricut Create and decided to follow the instructions for this card which came with one on the cartridges. I used Basic Grey Sweet Pea collection in greens and pinks.

Pottering in the garden

Been busy in the garden this morning and planted out these cyclamen plants. Lots of colour for the colder months to come. I planted six in the border in front of the house, there are already some there from last year which have yet to flower. then I replanted the hanging basket too.

Bright and Beautiful

Yesterday I had fun with the Basic Grey 'June Bug' collection pack, and this photo of Emily. The flowery border is 1/2" wide on all four sides, but the scanner has trimmed two sides down!
Lots of blossoms, brads, perfect pearls and glitter. Some of the shapes are from the element stickers and others were cut with the Cricut. The title was also cut on the Cricut.

Stomp Chef

Just a couple of quick photos snapped with Catherine's mobile tonight when the girls tried on all the costumes of their next dance competition, which is only a few weeks away.

'Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word!'

'Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word' is the song Catherine and her team danced to, dressed in this flowing blue dress. It was part of the Disco Inferno show back in June.

I used Basic Grey June Bug papers, from Cardinal Colours. Was really drawn to the bright colours in this collection, but for this LO I used these beautiful blue through turquoise colours. The flowers are paper from a pack by Woodware. The title was made using Linda's brand new, shiny Circut Create (thanks Linda)!

5 4 3 2 1 !!

Here is my second layout with the Scrapaholix October kit. I added a few bits to the Daisy Bucket papers. The ribbon and the ribbon charm are from Jill at Cardinal Colours. The colour chip is from Dulux! The numbers are from Basic Grey. The background is Core'dinations black card stock.
The photos are of Catherine dressed for her part as TV presenter in this summer's show, Disco Inferno.
