Chislehurst

52 walks with my camera in 2010 - Week 4

Today I had an appointment at the hospital in Sidcup, so Alan and I decided to go for a walk on Chislehurst Common before we needed to be at the hospital. The lovely place we planned to photograph was clogged up with too many parked cars for good photos. We spotted St Nicholas' Church and headed there for a look around. We ended up with plenty of photo opportunities:

Interesting guttering on the lych gate

This tree persists in growing through the grave!

View from the porch:

There were many of these angels inside the church:

In response to this weeks challenge, here is my bench photo. This resting place is inside the church porch. The seals lift to provide storage space.

We had time to spare before the appointment. So, went into the Tiger's Head for warm soup and bread, followed by rhubarb crumble with ginger, just what we needed on such a cold day.
