On our way to Devon we decided not to stop at a motorway services this time and would take a turn off and find a nice village to stop in and have a picnic. The weather has been so lovely too. Well in the even that is what happened because the traffic ahead was so bad at Junction 5 on the M25, we went off along the A21 then through Westerham and continued through small towns and villages using the map rather than the SATNAV. We had plenty of time and this was so much more enjoyable. At midday we found a village called Shere in Surrey, where we were able to park and eat out lunch sitting by the Tillingbourne Stream, watching the ducks and dragonflies.
After lunch Emily and I set off with our cameras to explore the quaint village of Shere.
