Diamonds !

To challenge card makers this month the challenge over on Scrapology has been set by Sue (Soojay). She has asked us to make a card with glitz as diamonds are the birthstone for the month of April. So as well as adding lots of glitter and sparkle I made a card base with the Diamond Fold (I will try to do a tutorial for the fold later), and diamond patterned paper.

I wanted to make a card for my sister's birthday and had purchased this delightful new stamp from Lili of the Valley for her. Her birthday was yesterday but I couldn't show you her card until the challenge went live today.

The stamp is called 'Dainty Cake'.

On the Passion for Promarkers Blog, the challenge is to 'cut out your image' so I would like to enter this card.

The card is 4" square.  and here is is opened out.

The papers I used are left overs from Bo Bunny's Enchanted collection. The diamond (harlequin) pattern is already glittered in places.

I added a 3 3/4" square of Doodlebug Designs Inc. Sugar coated cardstock in black to a 4" white cardstock square and mounted this over the front panel.

There are lots of tiny pink flat-backed gems stuck to the points where the diamonds meat, and the corners of the front panel.

The greeting stamp is another Lili of the Valley stamp from the Girls collection.

The girl is coloured with Promarkers and I have highlighted details with Stickles and Liquid pearls.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Sylvia. xxx
Thanks for looking.
