Dance in the Rain

Peartree Cutfile 1st birthday challenge # 18 - Pear it up with NOTHING! It was strange not backing the cutfile, or decorating it in some way.

I used a photo from the children's nursery school days, taken on leaving the house in the rain with new rainbow umbrellas.

I used:
Imaginisce papers
Doodlebug Designs papers
Dew Drops
Rainbow made with Fimo
White Bazzill
Glitter Thickers
Pinkfresh Studio mini puffy letter stickers

Fiaries at the Bottom of the Garden

This layout shows the girls dressed for a Dance Fiction show, when they danced to Secret Garden in their ballet piece, way back in 2001.  I made this on Saturday at the Paper Maze crop.

I made this layout using this Page Maps sketch in response to the Imaginesce challenge on the Page Maps blog.

I used:
Basic Grey - Indie Bloom Collection - Flamenco, panache and cilantro papers, element and alphabet stickers. Also Alphabet stickers from the Out of Print collection.
Punches - Martha Stewart corner and border punches.
Cardstock - Black Bazzill
Buttos - Crafty Ribbons
Craftwork Cards - Card Candi
Stamini' Up - Punch and stamps (decorative label)
Other - decorative pins, flat backed pearls, DMC thread. Memento Ink, Colorbox chalk inks.

Ocean Motion

First of all, I want to wish the lovely, talented Karen a very happy birthday today.
Karen makes some great cards and wonderful scrapbook pages, take a look at her blog. She is also a member of the design team for Scrapology.

I made Karen a mermaid birthday card, which I hope has arrived with her by now.

I used scrapbook pages from Imaginise (Splash Dance - Bathing Beauties and Ocean Motion). I also used white card for stamping the image onto and white and aqua Bazzill and some silver Miri card. The image is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Mermaid set and this one is called 'Nerissa' and is available from Elaine at Quixotic Paperie.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers and added a touch of Stickles Glitter Glue for sparkle and Perfect Pearls all from Cardinal Colours.
The tiny coloured shells are actually beads from a necklace one of the children had when they were younger.

I raided the mermaid on 3-D foam pads. The greeting is a Basic Grey Rub-on.

The charms and ribbons were from my stash.

Happy birthday and have a wonderful day Karen. x
