Happy Birthday Mary Poppins!

It's Mum's birthday this weekend and I ordered this stamp many months ago when I first saw it as it's perfect for her - my very own Mary Poppins!

Every week, when my triplets were small, Mum used to travel over to my house early one morning stay over until the following evening. She would help me with all that needed doing for the babies and was great company too. As she had chosen to be called 'Nanny' by the children and her name is Mary she acquired the nick name of 'Mary Poppins'.

Using the Cricut, I cut the basic scalloped shape from black Bazzill twice to make a card blank. The little houses were cut from the Jolly Holidays cartridge. The image is a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp coloured with my Promarkers. The background was sponged with distress ink. I added gems and ribbon to finish off.

I would like to enter this card into the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge #200, Back in Black.

Happy birthday Mum.
Thanks for looking.

Mellow Colours of Autumn

This weeks Kraftin' Kimmie challenge 'Fall into Fall' is to use autumnal colours.

I chose a Moonlight Whispers stamp called 'Curtis', and coloured him with my Promarkers. I stamped his image onto the striped paper to cut out his dungarees to stick to the image before colouring. The sentiment came with this stamp too.

I knew I had several Basic Grey collections that would work for this challenge, and decided on the retired Mellow collection

I used these papers to layer up the image and used the Fabulous Findings Cartridge with the Cricut to make the tag.
The image and the greeting were stamped with brown Memento ink onto digital cardstock.

I added some paper leaves which have been in my stash for some time. along with the Mellow papers!

I looped some thick jute twine through the tag top.

Robert & Elaine

Happy Wedding Day

My brother Robert and Elaine were married while in Brazil on 30th May.
I made them a Tri Shutter Album as a card. I took some photos from Facebook, but hope to replace them with better quality photos soon. I will also ask them for more images to fill the album.

The closed album from the front

I wanted to protect the album and make a gift box for it. I had been send a flower card for my birthday a few weeks earlier, and that came in a book style box. So I painted the edges with acrylic paint and covered the box with more papers.

The cardstock is Kraft Bazzill
