Bubbles and Lucy

Some time ago I made a page about the day we took Heather and Nicholas and their children to Jambs Owls. I made a layout for Hannah, so here is one for her sister, Lucy. There is one to follow for Oliver too.

When I saw this feathery paper called 'Wander Always' from Vicki Boutin's Field Notes collection (American Crafts), I knew it would be ideal for this layout. The grid paper was from the same collection and is called 'Collect and Document'. I also used some scraps of Authentique - Sea Maiden 7 and Kaisercraft's Anthology - Herbs.

I fussy cut some of the feathers to arrange along the bottom of the photos. The moths were cut from another Field Notes paper 'Take Flight'.

My tag was cut from scraps of Basic Grey paper using a Tim Holtz - Sizzix - Thinlits die. The other dies I used were also from Sizzix - Bright Bubbles and Paper Cuts Alphabet. I tied some jute twine onto the tag and a small silver owl charm.

Over the die cut bubbles I attached some clear watch crystals and added some dots of Diamond Glaze. I cut some bingo cards from Kaisercraft's Pen and Ink collection - Stamps paper. Finally I added a little glitters to the feathers with Stickles.

Thanks for looking, back with Oliver's page soon.

Treetops

Here is the second layout from my Design Team blog post created earlier this month.  I made the layouts using the Papermaze May Monthly Kit. Such a delightful selection of colours, papers, cardstock and colours as always. If you wish to buy a kit and it is out of stock - please call the shop as I know Vanessa is waiting for more stock to come in.

This layout was about my daughter and her fiancé on the day they got the keys to their own home. I used plenty of the cardstock for this page as well as a lot of left over patterned papers. Please see the blog for full details on how I made the page and what products from the kit I used.

Brighton Rock

Earlier this month I created two layouts using the Papermaze May Monthly Kit for my Design Team blog post. This was the second post using this lovely kit.

Here is one of those layouts, using a photo of my daughter in a sweet shop in Brighton, we were visiting my son and doing the Sea Dog trail in December 2016.

I loved the colours and the quilted pattern of the Beginnings Four paper from Authentique and so made a wide border with it. I also liked the pink brick work side of the Kaisercraft So Amazing paper. I had fun creating the bunting with Baker's twine and aa selection of embellishments from the kit and my stash.
For full details on what I used and how I made the page please see the Papermaze blog
