Changing Rooms

Over on the facebook group - FTLOPP - challenge #2 for the Journey of Change is to document Changing Rooms. So I decided to scrap photos of the changes we made to our living room. We moved into this house in 2018 and brought some old sofas and curtains to use until we got a chance to replace and decorate. Early 2021 finally saw these changes. It took some time to redecorate as there as four doors and two windows, and all the paintwork was badly painted before. The beams had paint slopped on them from previously and there were plenty of crackes in the plaster surrounding them. Once redecorated the room we had a wait for the sofas and I made new curtains.

I used:
My Mind's Eye - On the Bright Side collection
Making Memories - Die Cut Scallop Flower Patch
Echo Park - So Lovely stickers
Decorative pins & safety pin
Metal flowers

Sunshie and Showers

I went to the Papermaze Crop on Saturday and this is my version of Vanessa's crop kit for July.

I scrapped this photo of my daughter Catherine sheltering under her amazing rainbow umbrella when she was bridesmaid for Emily and Jack's wei dding last October. As it was an autumn wedding we were lucky with the weather, there was a very fine rain when Emily arrived, but by the time the service was over it ias fine again for the photos and drinks outside.

This time we used paint and stain from the Distress range. I substituted the Tumbled Glass paint with Forest Moss to match Catherine's dress, but used the Shabby shutters Stain as supplied.

Thanks for the crop and the kit design Vanessa.

Thanks for looking.

Make and Take with Lesley - Gift Token Card

I went to the Papermaze Christmas Crop on Saturday and we all had a great time. There was a Christmas Challenge Kit and two Make & Take sessions. The first make and take was by Lesley and we all made a gift Token card.

Here is mine:

We used gilding flakes on the paper doily, something I have been meaning to try for a long time.
The papers I chose from the wide selection available were from My Mind's Eye. We used a brad and a glass dew drop for the centre of the blossom.
I added some gold and cream twine to match my papers.

Thanks for the class Vanessa and Lesley, hope you have a good Christmas
