Catching up wth the Triplets.

We visited the triplets on Monday - they are nearly 2 years old now. We actually had all six triplets (both sets) together for once, but at no time were all three babies awake, so we couldn't get a photo of them all together.

Oliver was rather taken with his older brother's keyboard.

By the time Hannah woke up, Lucy was asleep. So I only have pictures of Hannah

Time to make three second birthday cards for 14th January.

Mini Christmas Album

Using a Paper Mania chipboard album and left over papers from my 'Magic of Christmas Eve' double layout. I made this small album of my Christmas decorations. The title is created from Basic Grey chipboard letters painted red with red glitter added. Each paged was painted around the edges with acrylic paint then papers to decorate. I used lots of odds and ends of left over Christmas embellishments. The papers are all from the My Mind's Eye - 'I Believe' collection from Cardinal Colours.

I don't know where the photo of the back page went, will need to add this later.

Thanks for looking.

2010 In Review

As suggested and inspired by Elaine of Quixotic Paperie, I have picked a favourite card and or layout from each month of 2010 to share with you once more. I agree with what Elaine said about celebrating what was achieved instead of thinking about what you had hoped to do, but did not manage. It certainly makes you realise what a lot was achieved in reality.

Play Time

This layout was completed a few weeks ago, but with all the Christmas preparations going on it didn't get uploaded on here.  It shows Hannah back in September 2010 in Paradise Park. We visited the triplets again today so there will be more layouts to follow!

The papers are Basic Grey Sugar Rush.  The scalloped circle and square were both cut with the Accent Essentials Cartridge for the Cricut. The Hearts are a Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for looking.

At Blogger Heads!!

My daughter Catherine is in the process of starting her own blog now that she has left home and is 'Standing on her own two feet'.  She asked me to give her a hand in making a header for her blog, so this afternoon we played with card and Cricut and came up with this:

We used Urban Lily papers from Crafty Pastimes and the Forever Young and the Don Juan Cartridge for the Cricut from Cardinal Colours.

She is pleased with this and it is now applied to her blog.

The Magic of Christmas Eve

Here is the layout I made for the Scrapology Challenge this month. The project was based on this double layout sketch we chose from Jana Eubank.

I used a collection pack from My Mind's Eye called 'I Believe' available from Jill at Cardinal Colours. I picked two sheets of 12"x12" Bazzill Bling cardstock in red.

I cut narrow strips in green and trimmed them with the Martha Stewart holly border punch. I added this along the bottom of the the diagonal stripe paper. I added a few dots of liquid Pearls in red for berries.

The journalling blocks were made by cutting one of the die cut shapes into two and adding half to each page. The Title is created with American Craft Thickers in glittery red. The small letter tiles are stickers left over from another layout. I added the journalling detail by hand, and decorated the blocks with red gems. The one 4"x6" portrait photo was mounted on mint paper leaving a wide border at the bottom. I attached ribbon and a charm.

There was a lot of paper left after making the double layout so I made mini album too. I will share these with you later in the month, when I have taken some photographs.

I hope you will have a go at this challenge and share your layout with us on Scrapology.  The prize for this months challenge will be announced in a few days.

The photos were taken of my great nephew Jamie, at our house Christmas eve 2005. He was really taken with the nativity scene, and loved playing with the animals.
