Winter Birthday

Warmest Birthday Wishes for friends with birthdays in December and January - I have quite a few and so decided to make a start today with Basic Grey Challenge 32.

Sorry about the photo, it gets dark far too early!
This week is a sketch challenge.

I used three papers from Basic Grey, Marjoline - Creme de menthe, cafe noir and buttercream. I used the Cricut and Storybook (decorative circle), Cindy Loo (scalloped edge) and Wild Card (greeting) cartridges.

The image is one of my favourites from Kraftin' Kimmie called 'Antoinette' from Elaine at Quixotc Paperie.  The base card is from Craftwork Cards and is one of the lovely 8x8" size.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers - using ivory, soft peach and blush for the face and hands, grey-green, midnight and petrol blue for the dress.   The fur is pearl and powder blue. For the hair I used sandstone, caramel and  cocoa. The scarf and other trimmings were coloured with soft green, grey green, lime and lime zest.

I added lace, blossoms, pearls, gems, stickles, chalk inks and ribbons from my stash.

Thanks for looking.
