Baby's Treasure Box

My sister-in-law, Barbara asked me to make her another box. She wanted something to give a friend who is about to go on maternity leave. A box for her to store all her baby memories in.

I started off by searching for a suitable box. I found this Christmas posting gift box, sold as a flat pack and as it's January it was marked down to £1.49.

I reshaped the box a bit in places and added a ribbon tab to make opening easier.

I added some brads and double sided tape here and there to strengthen the box.

I used a selection of papers from DCWV to cover the box, and the animals were cut using my Create a Critter Cartridge and the Cricut.

I also used the New Arrival Cricut Cartridge to cut the title.

I hope you and your friend likes the box Barbara.
Off to make a card to go with it now!

  5. How beautiful!!! How did you get the paper so smooth on the box? What glue did you use?
