Florence Dorothy Holder

Florence (Florrie) Dorothy was born in Bromley in 1894 to Frederick Holder and Emma Jane Florence (Williams) Holder.  She was one of fourteen children.
Florrie married Charles (Charlie) Kiff
 in Bromley in 1921
Charlie and Florrie had one daughter Vera Enid born in 1922
They emigrated to Canada setting sail from Southampton to Quebec on 20th July 1926. The sailed on the 'Antonia' - Cunard Line. They set up home in Vancouver .
I know that she visited England in 1960 as she was at a Holder family reunion that year.
She died in British Columbia, Canada in 1962.

I started making this layout while visiting Linda last weekend, she supplied a pizza box, so I could cut a cardboard support of my frame, making it stand proud of the background.
I used the Blue Bay collection of papers from Kaisercraft. For some reason I had already printed this beautiful photo in two sizes so decided to use them both together on the same layout. I die cut them with matching mats. I also die cut the doily using a Sizzix die.
My lettering was cut from patterned paper and delicatly inked with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. this has a fine layer of glossy accents applied to each letter.
I decorated the layout with some ribbon and tied a bow, adding various blossoms from my stash and some beaded embellishments with silver wire stems. Finally I added a few leaves punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for looking.
