Dancing The Charleston

This layout was created in response to the current Basic Grey challenge. Week 19 is a photo inspiration challenge. Here is my layout:

Finally catching up with the layouts for Catherine's dancing album.  These photos were taken at two different events last summer. Both the same dance. I needed something to go with the bright colours of the dresses and Basic Grey's Urban Prairie hit the spot. To the right is the photo supplied by basic grey as inspiration for the craft work. I chose the Bazzill card stock to match the paint on the bed frame in the photo, and it worked well with my photos and papers too. The journalling blocks were cut with my Stampin' Up punches. The flowers were made with my EK Success retro flower punches and some tiny black sequin flowers for a selection by Doodlebug Design.

A close up of my bunting I cut the triangles with a small tab at the top. I inked the triangles and then folded the tab back over some ribbon, spacing them evenly apart. They were stuck in place with some double sided tape. I added stitched details with my fine liner.
This layout is also loosely based on Kelly Goree's basic sketch from the April issue of Just the Basics. Vol 7, Issue 4, Page 4. (I will add sketch when I can access this newsletter - not letting me in today!).
