Happy Birthday Emily!

I spent a great weekend at Easthampstead Park Conference Centre last weekend, with my lovely crafty friends. Great company, lots of laughter and good food.

I even achieved some scrapbooking and card making, here is one of the cards I made in preparation for Emily's 22nd birthday today.

The papers and pencil sticker are from Basic Grey's Oxford collection - perfect for my book loving, writer daughter.

New Job

A new job card for Emily who is now into her fourth week at Jupiter Designs Ltd. I couldn't share this card until the Scrapology card challenge had been published as it's one of my design team cards. Pop over to see more details of the 'New Beginnings' Challenge which has been set our own DT member Sheena.

My 6 x 6" card is created with papers from Bo Bunny's C'est La Vie collection. The stamped image is from Stamping Bella and coloured with my Promarkers. I added lots of paper flowers and some ribbon. The greeting is a Lili of the Valley stamp and 'Emily' is created with American Crafts Thickers.

Congratulations on the job Emily and I hope you will be happy in Nottingham.

Happy Birthday Simon!

Today is my great nephew - Simon's birthday.

This card was made using the Wild Card and Base Camp cartridges and the Cricut.
Papers are from my stash and were by Making Memories from some time ago. They are like card stock ,but have a self-coloured stripe or dot and came in about five bright colours. The little footballer image is a stamp from Stamping Bella, and he is coloured with Promarkers.


I also made the envelope with liner from the Wild card Cart.

Happy 40th Birthday Sue!

It's Sue's (Doogle007) 40th birthday on Tuesday! I made her this card and gave it to her when we celebrated her birthday yesterday at our crop:

When I saw this stamp I thought of Sue and had to buy it to make her a card. It is a Stamping Bella stamp from The Craft Barn.

The papers and letter stickers are from Basic Greys 'Olivia' papers, think Sue will appreciate this girly animal print looking paper, from Cardinal Colours.

Past Times Fairy

I was commissioned by Barbara to make a card with a fairy on it, similar to one I made earlier. It needed to have the words 'Remembering Past Times' as well as a birthday greeting. The fairy's wings had to be 3D.

The story is that Barbara goes away once a year with her friend Jen, who she has known for many years. Jen's husband has Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease, so she is a full time carer. When he goes into respite care Barbara and Jen go away on holiday. Jen collects garden fairy statues, so they always seek out the nearest Past Times store to see what they have.  I hope they are both pleased with the result. I also hope you have a good birthday Jen and that the next holiday is a good break for both of you.

I used Basic Grey 6x6" pad of Lemonade papers, the card and the card candy is from Craftwork Cards. I printed the words onto card in deep pink ink on the computer and cut them out with my Stampin' Up punch. The scalloped surrounds for the words is also a Stampin' Up punch.  I used chalk inks, blossoms, stickles glitter, perfect pearls from my stash. The image is from Stamping Bella - Agnes Ketto stamp. I used my Promarkers of course to colour her in.
