Vintage Hollywood Card Collection

A few cards I made with the last of my Vintage Hollowood collection by Graphic 45 for the Papermaze Blog. The large detailed images from these papers make them ideal for card making.  I have had fun designing with these papers together with a few embellishments and tools from my stash, and the shop. Bird's Nest Birthday Card

This month over on Scrapology, Karen Leonard - our own DT member KAZY 1 is challenging you to create a card using these beautiful colours she found this image Design Seeds 

Here is the card I made:

Birthday Feathers

 For the month of January's card challenge on Scrapology is a colour wheel and Linda has challenged us to use LIME, PURPLE and SILVER on our cards.

My feathers were cut with the Cricut and the Art Nouveau Cartridge. 

The were inked and curled with scissors and layered up, before being stuck in place on the cards. The backing paper is from Magnolia. The Hero Arts stamp reads "Our birthdays are feathers in the broad wings of time". I added a lot of  crystal Stickles, miri card and some flat backed pearls and gems.

For the final one I used gold instead of silver.

The Phoenix

My daughter Emily is involved in LARP (live action role play) and has been making her own costumes, which have been admired and she was commissioned to make a phoenix costume. This is the first time she has fried working with Liquid latex. This was used to make the face mask so that it is comfortable and flexible, it is also lined with soft fabric. The house covered in red fluff by the time she had finished with the feathers and fur!

Here are a few photos of her modelling the costume in the garden, back in September. I couldn't reveal the photos until her friend had unveiled the costume at the first event.

What's next? I believe it's a Magpie.
