Chatham

Walk with my camera 52 in 2010 - The Historic Dockyard Chatham - Week 10

I planned to do my walk in Lancaster University grounds this week. I travelled there with my son Andrew for his interview at the University. We were up before 5am, in order to get to the local station to take the train to London Bridge. Then the tube to Euston in time for the fast train to Lancaster leaving after 7am. I thought we would have time between appointments to walk around and take photos. The staff has other ideas! There was barely time to get away to use the toilet! We had talks and tours of the lecture facilities and the campus, then there was lunch provided and a tour of accommodation. While Andrew had his interview I attended talks for parents on history of the University and funding for the next four years. At the end of the day we had to run for the bus to get back to the station in time for our train. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, and we had a good day, but the camera didn't leave my handbag all day!

.... and so .....

Today I visited another University, but this time I was there as part of my job to lecture to the nurses doing their children's nursing at Canterbury University at the Medway Campus. This is located at Chatham, very close by is The Historic Dockyard Chatham and Dickens World. It was a grey day and I was not free until the early evening when the light was fading, but I managed a few pictures, by just walking around the local area.

It would be good to go back to both these places to look at them properly when they are open later in the year.
