Memory Box

My sister in law, Barbara asked me to make or decorate a box she could use at the care home she works in to store memories of each of the residents. I have been looking out for a good box. This weekend she is staying with us and spotted this box my friend Linda gave me a with a L'Occitane gift in at Christmas. I had been saving it for something special. Barbara felt is was just the right size for what she wanted. So I set to with the limited craft supplies I have with me and decorated the box for her.

Here is the original box, with ribbon attached. I kept the ribbon as it was. The sided had to be stuck to the base as this comes apart.

Here is the finished lid.

The word 'Memories' was cut using the Heritage Cricut Cartridge.

The butterflies were from the Storybook Cartridge.

The flowers, glitter, gems etc. were all from my stash. The papers are from Basic Grey's beautiful Kioshi Collection.

The finished box again.

Barbara is thrilled with the result and will be taking the box into work with her on Monday.
Thanks for the box Linda :) x
