For my crafty friends I made these cards for Christmas, I used some new stamps and a punch from Stampin' Up.
I used the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set together with the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch. I punched a bulb to use as a template and blended ink over and around it using various colours of Distress Ink. Then I stamped the bulbs with Archival inks and punched out the shapes, adding them to the card with double-sided foam pads. The bulbs were linked together with some Baker's twine. I used miri card to punch the bulb ends and added them to each bulb.

Christmas Cookies Cards
I made a set of Christmas Cards using the new Tim Holtz Freshly Baked #1 Sizzix Thinlits die set.
I used Bazzill cardstock in various colours and 6" x 6" white card blanks. Once the cookie shapes were cut and layered, I used Glossy Accents to give them a shine.
Baker's Twine was used to link the golves and hange the cookies.
The greetings were cut from the same card with dies from Crafter's Companion.
Thanks for looking.
Merry Christmas.

Oh Christmas Tree
Today I'm sharing the second layout I made using the December Papermaze kit. This lovely seasonal kit could be used for Christmas and other layouts as many of the papers embellishments have a generic design to them.
For this layout I wanted to document Goerge choosing the Christmas tree. Here he is surrounded by trees. I love many of this year's Christmas dies from Sizzix, especially these trees and the deer.
For details of the kit please see the Papermaze shop and for step by step instructions for the layout please see the blog.
I have more layouts to share with you very soon.

Christmas Eve Engagement
I can't believe it's time for the last Papermaze kit of
2018! Another well coordinated collection of papers,
cardstock and embellishments ready for us to make Christmas layouts.
Much of the content could also be used for non-Christmas layouts too. For details of the kit content please see shop and for details of the layout please see the blog.
For this first layout I have created a layout with a photo from last Christmas - my daughter and her fiance when they became engaged on Christmas eve.
I have more layouts to share with you very soon.

Hill Top Farm
It's time for second part of the November Papermaze kit, over on the Papermaze blog. I made two separate
layouts which will be displayed side by side in my scrapbook much like a
double layout. They feature photographs from our holiday in the Lake
District two years ago, and a day spent at Near Sawrey visiting the home
of Beatrix Potter.
For details of these layouts please see the Scrap Paper Scissors blog and the shop for the kit and other materials & tools used. I had great fun with some of the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits die sets amking these layouts.
Thanks for looking.
Back with the December kit very soon.

Laboratory Birthday Card
I can now share Jack's birthday card, although his birthday was last week he didn't get his card until returning from holiday. As he is a pharmacist I thought the Laboratory Sizzix Thinlits die set from Tim Holtz was ideal to make Jack a card.
I used some scraps of Kaisercraft Basecoat papers for the background and for the shelving. The jars, liquids, labels, stoppers and bubbles were all cut from watercolour paper which I had coloured with various colour mixes using Distress Oxide Inks and water. some jars were stuck straight down to the card and others were raised up on 3D foam self adhesive pads.
The mortar and pestle were created using one of the liquid dies and the neck of one of the bottle dies.
Happy Birthday Jack.

Advent Calendar - Tiny Jars
Thanks to all my friends and family who saved their tiny jam jars for me. I have now finished the Advent Calendar I wanted to make with them, it's now complete and ready for 1st December.
The first job was to collect 25 mini jam jars and to clean them and soak off the labels.
Then I searched for a suitable box to present them in and found this Mache lidded box in Hobbycraft.
Then I gathered my Doodlebug Designs Inc. papers and stickers I already owned and purchased some more stickers and a 6" x 6" pad.
Each jar lid was painted with Humbrol Enamel Paint in a selection of colours to match the papers.
The jars were each decorated with a circle cut using a circle punch and a 0.5cm x 14.5cm strip of paper for the rim of the lid and a 2cm x 14cm strip to wrap around the jar.
The box was a little bigger than I needed, so I made a panel for the centre using chipboard and duct tape. It made somewhere to hide another gift too. Then I painted the box with Distress Paint before covering the box inside and out with the 12" x 12" papers.
Each jar needed a number and for these I chose wooden numerals from Hobbycraft and painted them with Distress Paints.
Then it was time to have fun with the Doodlebug stickers and Nuvo Crystal Drops!
The words 'Advent calendar were added to the lid with some glittery American Craft Thickers.
