Cousins and Friends

A few days ago I published my second layout using the delightful Kaisercraft Romantique collection on the Papermaze Blog. I have used another old black and white photo, this time of my mother and her cousin when they were children. The idea came to mind as I have been doing some family research for Mum's cousin Pat recently.

I have selected the grey, silvery, black and white papers from this collection together with the magnificent Butterflies Printed Acetate. Please see the blog for details as to how the page was made.

I wanted to achieve a slightly different effect the the butterflies this time and made them perch on the page. Please see the blog for details.

Now that the age is complete, it reminds me of one I scraplifted back last summer using the Indigo Blue papers and a layout designed by Kylie Kingham for the Kaisercraft Design Team - it was great inspiration.

Thanks for looking, I will be back with another layout soon.

Here is my layout from the November Papermaze Crop, took me a while to catch up!

I used photos of my daughter Catherine, helping with the safety boat at Erith Yacht Club for the Sailability sessions last summer. There is a mix of papers here from different collections.

Another lovely design by Vanessa, please follow the link at the top for more information.

Wedding Hair

My crop kit from January's Papermaze Crop was used to create another layout for Emily and Jack's wedding album. The colours Vanessa had chosen were great for the photos of Emily preparing for the day. The little camera images are perfect for the fact that the photogropher came to the house to take photos before the ceremony.

The papers were from Simple Stories - Summer Days collection. For more details please see the Papermaze blog.

Something Blue

I was asked to decorate this tin to make it into a gift box for my daughter's friend Jasmine. It is part of a little hen party gift for a special friend. You can see more details for how this was made on the Scrap Paper, Scissors Blog for The Papermaze Design Team.

The tin is a Vaseline Lip Therapy Limited Edition 2017 Gift Tin.  The papers I used were from Kaisercraft's Indigo Blue collection. These papers are older ones, first available back in the summer, but there are still a few available in the shop. There are also other papers available with butterflies which can be used in the same way.

The tin was filled with blue treats and Jas was thrilled with it.

Calendar Girls

Today I'm sharing some more of my Lily of the Valley - Thoroughly Modern Misses cards. These were made with Digital cards, but rubber stamps and simply prints are also available. The Monthly Traits are also from Lily of the Valley. Here are my January and February cards.

This first one was made for my great niece - Jessica for her birthday. The background was made with a stencil, and some Glitter Kisses and Distress Inks in three shades of blue. The greeting is a die from Creative Companions. All the cards were coloured with my Promarkers.

For Kerry's card I used some patterned papers from Crafter's Companion. and some embellishments from my stash.

Liz's card uses more of the items used above, with ribbons from my stash.

Wendy's easel card was again made using papers and pens etc. as above. All these cards are 6" x 6" in size.

Hope you all had a good birthday.

Marjorie

One of my favourite topics for scrapbooking is my collection of heritage photographs. This is my great aunt Marjorie. The layout was created for the Scrap Paper Scissors Blog (Papermaze Design Team). This month I am working with the elegantly classical papers from Kaisercraft's Romantique collection. Please visit the blog for details of products and how I made the layout.

Marjorie Phyllis Holder - My Great Aunt Marjorie.
Born in 10th June 1803 in Bromley, the eleventh of fourteen children to
Frederick Henry and Emma Jane Florence (Williams) Holder.
The 1911 Census shows Marjorie as a 7 year old school girl living at
120 Southlands Road Bromley with her parents and ten of her siblings.
Marjorie married Gordon Murdoch Stebbing (1901 – 1972) in 1928 in Bromley
They had no children.  Marjorie died in Eastbourne in 1989

I loved using the Kaisercraft Romantique 'Butterflies Printed Acetate' sheet and creating a large hydrangea bloom.

I will be back later in the month with another project using these papers.

Cricut Card for the Triplets

We have many birthdays in January for our family, so I'm busy catchin up with the blogging of the cards I made.

Oliver, Hannah and Lucy were nine this year, and I decided to get the Cricut going for these cards.

I used a selection of papers and cardstock from my stash.
I used the Hello Kitty Greetings and the Robotz cartridges with the Cricut.

I inked the edges with distress inks and added a little sparkle with Crystal Stickles.

Happy birthday Hannah, Lucy and Oliver.
