This layout was inspired by a page created by Marie Hirst of Peartree Cutfiles. Marie had set a challenge for National Scrapbook Day to scraplift a member of the design team using a different cutfile. I also wanted to use some Alcohol inks to create a background, but had to wait for my order of Yupo paper to come through from ebay. Therefore I missed the closing date, but still wanted to try the technique out.
The photo was taken in Washington D.C. when I visited in December 2019 to visit my daughter whe was working there for a while. If you zoom in you can see the Christmas wreaths in each window. Sadly repairs were being carried out on the parameter fences so it was difficult to get any closer than this. Follow this link to see how it was decorated.
I selected Alcohol inks from the selection I own
Tranquil which is a Pearl effect
Silver Mixative
Red Pepper
Cobalt
Denim
Blending Solution
Bazzill cardstock
I also used a selection of sequins and Nuvo Glitter drops
Letter stickers from Basic Grey and Doodlebug Design Inc.
This is the Peartree cutfile I used:
Trail of Stars
Here is Marie's original layout:
Thanks for looking
