Covent Garden

52 Walks with my Camera 2010 - Week 51

Nearly at the end of my 52 walks, and this time I went to Covent Garden in the dark. We travelled to London yesterday to see Cinderella at The Royal Opera House. As we got to London early and had a walk around. The decorations and lights were beautiful.

Audrey and Margaret

I made this layout at the Cardinal Colours Crop earlier this month and only yesterday managed to finish it off. It is scraplifted from the brilliant work of Gabrielle Pocllaco. I used the new Basic Grey Curio papers.  The collection pack was my prize for one of the Basic Grey Challenges last month.  The butterflies are from K and Co. and were part of my Christmas present from my brother. The blossoms are winter flowers and the lacing is black 1/8" suede effect thong both from Cardinal Colours.

The photograph is one we have recently discovered of my grandmother (Margaret Ellen Banks nee Ephgrave) with her niece by marriage (Audrey Edwards nee Mansell) circa 1930.

52 Walks with My Camera - week 50

Catching up with the last few walks for 2010. What with Christmas and doing JYC 2010, I have got a bit behind with blogging the walks, but determined to get them all blogged before next year (next week!).
Catherine and I walked from Tottenham Court Road to Trafalgar Square, starting with coffee and ending with an evening meal, visiting a lot of shops along the way! Pretty tricky to get good photos as it was so crowded.

The lights in Oxford Street (not really dark enough for these at the time).

Into Regent Street and we spent some time in Liberty (and all I we purchased was a few pencils!)

Back out onto Regent Street where it was now dark and better to see the lights.

We ended up in Trafalgar Square
