Happy 19th Birthday

I made my layout for Scrapology's September challenge with this photo of my daughters just after their 19th birthday back in April.

Using this sketch I created from this delightful layout by Kelly Goree.

Here is what I used for my page, the challenge being to use any type of embossing.
I used a sheet of 12" x 12" white paper as a base. Gut a piece 6" x 6" from the centre for mounting the photo.
Cut pink embossed Bazzill to 12" x 9.5"

With Basic Grey's 'Life of the Party' collection pack from Cardinal Colours I used:

Costume 11" x 7.5" 'Costume' with Zig-Zags running horizontally, cut top and bottom along Zig-Zag shape. Place centrally on layout.

How You've Grown12" x1" tape measure side of 'How You've Grown', the punched with bracket scalloped EK Success punch.

Noise Makers12" x 2" 'Noise Makers' Green side run through the Argyle embossing plate. Placed across the middle of the layout.

Getting Bigger9" x 6" 'Gettng Bigger' gift parcel side and placed 1 1/2" in from right hand side of layout, 2" up from the bottom.

House Party12" x 2.5" 'House Party' positioned on right side of layout.

Shindig12" x 3" 'Shindig', beige side used for printing journalling horizontally and placed above tape measure trimming.

thumbElement Stickers

I used 'HAPPY' bunting Stickers across top left corner of layout, these were mounted on green paper and trimmed with scalloped scissors.

Dotted circle used for sub title, printed on white and run through the polka dot embossing folder. Together with several circles cut from scraps.

thumbAlpha Stickers used to spell out 'BELATED'

'BIRTHDAY' and '19th' cut using Designer Calendar Cartridge for the Cricut using scraps from the papers used.

The journalling reads: "This was the first year the triplets were not together for their birthday. The spring semester didn't finish until April. Emily and Catherine were able to share cake a few days later, but it was another few weeks before Andrew could celebrate with them."

Thanks for looking and please pop over to Scrapology to see what the rest of the design team created and take a peek at the challenge. There is another great prize on offer too.
