I have been playing with my collection of Distress Oxide Inks including a few of the latest issue. Today I'm sharing the mother's day card I made for my lovely Mum, using some new dies from Crafter's Companion's Vintage Tea Party collection and lots of watercolour paper.
I created my coloured papers by spreading a selection of inks onto my craft mat and spritzing with water. Then drag the paper through the inks, dry with the heat gun and pull through the wet ink again. Then I used the Toppling Teacups die to cut four sets of cups and saucers. The Card blank is 6" x 6", so the background was trimmed to just under that measurement. Then the lettering was cut with a Crafter's Companion word die. I cut the doily several times in white card and chopped these up to create a background. Then I inked the edges of all the images and stacked the cups and saucers using 3D double-sided foam pads. Finally I added a touch of sparkle to the wording with Crystal Stickles.
Back with more cards soon.
Thanks for looking.
