Love This Little Bug

When I saw this photo of Scarlett dressed as a ladybird it reminded me of the Doodlebug Designs Ladybug collection I had stored away in my stash.

I built the layout up with a gutted sheet of Lava Bazzill (2.5cm deep), followed by a gutted sheet of Avalanche (29.5cm x 29.5cm & 2.5cm deep), then a gutted sheet of Doodlebug Designs paper (red with white dots), (29cm x 29cm & 3cm deep). Then I returned to the Avalanche Bazzill and trimmed it to 25cm x 25cm, this piece was splattered with Dylusions Black Marble Shimmer Ink.

The photo was mounted onto some of the Lava Bazzill.   From the Doodlebug Designs Lovebugs collection - All My Heart paper, I trimmed the ladybird image and applied it over another square from the sheet. The 3 x 3 hearts image was trimmed and mounted over some of the red and white dotted paper.

I fussy cut the LOVE image for part of the title. From some Doodlebug Designs sticker sheets I chose a tag, and placed a gem brad through the hole. This was applied to the layout with 3D foam tape, I added two words for the title with Black Beetle Monochromatic Teensy Type cardstock alpha stickers

After arranging all the elements on the page I added Scarlett's name with some ladybug Monochrome Teensy Type cardstock alpha stickers. Then I decorated the page with a selection of red, pink and black gems.

The dated was added with more of the Black Beetle Monochromatic Teensy Type cardstock alpha stickers.

Palais Royal - Kisoque des Noctambules

Here I am, back with the last layout using the Papermaze September Kit. The final travel destination themed page and another Parisian layouts featuring the artwork of the Metro station kiosks.

Palais Royal - Kiosque des Noctambules - For this page, I chose a photo of the Palace Colette entrance to the Palaise Royal Station where we alighted for the Muśee de Louvre.  This amazing structure designed by Jean-Michel Othaniel is made of blown glass beads threaded onto an aluminum structure. It is called 'The Kiosk of the Night Walkers' and has two cupolas - one representing day, the other night.

For full details of how the layout was made please see the Scrap, Paper Scissors Blog.

From the kit I used:
Bo Bunny - Boulevard collection - De Versailles
Ciao Bella - The Sound of Summer collection - Coastal Wood
Bazzill: Stonehenge and Blue
Prima flower
Washi Tape

From my stash I used:
Distress Ink
Martha Stewart Punches
Cream Seam Binding Ribbon
Gems

Pinkfresh Puffy Studio Puffy Alpha Stickers - Joyful Day
.
Pinkfresh Studio Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers - Everyday Musings and Just a Little Lovely.

That's all for the September kit, I will be back with October's kit soon.
Thanks for looking.

Metropolitan

Here is my third layout, using the Papermaze September Kit. The travel destination themed papers inspired me to stick with my continental theme from before, and create two more Parisian layouts featuring the artwork of the Metro station kiosks. Today's layout is the first of these and the second follows tomorrow. For full details on how this layout was made, please visit the Scrap, Paper Scissors Blog.

Metropolitan - This layout shows a photo of the entrance to the Art Nouveau style metro entrance designed by Hector Gumard. I wanted to pick out the colour and style of the cast iron kiosk to the Rome Station and so I used embossing enamel, and a font and to create the title.

From the kit I used:
Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Coastal collection - Paradise Found
Ciao Bella - The Sound of Summer collection - Coastal Wood
Bazzill: Natural, Quartz and Mocha Divine

2 Tim Holtz thought tokens
Washi tape
Twine

From my stash I used:
Distress Ink
Martha Stewart Punch

Stampendous Frantage Aged Teal Embossing Enamel
Cricut

Large flat-backed pearls
Pink gems
