Capital Yacht Club

Having taken part in weeks three to five of the FTLOPP (for the love of pretty paper) Be Colourful challenge, - I have now gone back to create layouts for weeks one and two. Here is my layout for week one - Super Sapphire.

Many of the photos from our trip to Washington last year are very blue - the weather was dry, very sunny and extremely chilly! This layout uses photos from the first morning after I arrived, Catherine had been there a few weeks already and wanted to show me around. We walked to the Potomac River Waterfront Development on Wharf Street, where there were a lot of cafĂ©s and shops as well as the Capital Yacht Club. We couldnt resist taking photos on the pontoon infront of the magnificent Christmas tree.

For this layout I used some old papers from Kaisercraft's Indigo Skies collection. I used papers and stickers from this line.

My title is some chipboard Thickers, the word 'Capital' was inked with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink. The date is some old stickers from my stash.

My tag was cut with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Thinlits set and threaded with two different ribbons.

The photos were backed with some scraps of blue Bazzill.

Finally I added som plastic embellishments I found in my button stash - snowflakes and a little camera.

Thanks for looking
Lynn x
