Love This - Traffic Lights

Peartree Cutfiles - Online Peardrop February Crop - Challenge #4 - You're My Favourite. Use your favourite scrappy tool/s.

My cutting tool essentials - I used Cricut (to cut the cutfile), Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Scissors and my Fiskars Trimmer.

Instead of solid circles, the stop lights in the northen Icelandic town of Akureri has glowing red hearts.
In an effort to give residents a reason to smile, the heart lights glow in the harsh weather and darkness of the short days. This measure was started in 2008. We visited in December 2018.

I used:
Basic Grey - Hello Luscious collection papers and stickers
white gel pen
DAF flair

The Show Must Go On!

This layout tells how it felt for my daughter as a stage manager during 2020, when the pandemic caused the theatres to close, making life uncertain for her and her colleagues.
Catherine's wise words are hidden journalling under the photo -

"@ccornelisse19 has reminded me that it has been 6 months since we’ve been near or on a stage. Wow. I’ve tried to think back to a time when I’ve not had access to one whether it be as an audience member, Performer or Stage Management. Nativity, (I played the Christmas Cake it was epic) school play, university showcase or career. I didn’t realise it would feel like I have lost a limb. Hobbling along, missing those four walls hoping others elsewhere are ok sending love and light and looking forward to celebrating the reopening of some venues in the coming months...#fingerscrossed"

I made the layout in response to challenge #1 of the February Peardrop Crop. 'It started with a cutfile'. The idea being to choose a cutfile you love and go from there. I loved this 'Catch A Falling Star' cutfile I purchased a while ago and cut in glittery gold cardstock - it was ideal for this page.

I used:
Basic Grey - Stella Ruby collection papers
Sequins, gems and pearls
Gold Glitter cardstock
American Crafts Thickers - Celebrate
Other letter stickers
