This Was So Much Fun

It seems if you give children water to play with, they will be happy for hours, and in this case you get the patio cleaned at the same time!! Note my son Andrew in charge of the hose while the girls do the hard work! This photo was taken in the garden in the summer of 1999.

The layout was made for the April Peardrop Crop Challenge 'Jump in Puddles' - scrap about water or getting wet. It was also used for a DAF challenge to use 5 old things from your stash

5 old things from your stash:
Kaisercraft Mermaid tails paper & 49 & Market Vintage Market
Watch Crystals
Doodlebug Stickers
Rubons
Gem Sequins

Love This - Traffic Lights

Peartree Cutfiles - Online Peardrop February Crop - Challenge #4 - You're My Favourite. Use your favourite scrappy tool/s.

My cutting tool essentials - I used Cricut (to cut the cutfile), Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Scissors and my Fiskars Trimmer.

Instead of solid circles, the stop lights in the northen Icelandic town of Akureri has glowing red hearts.
In an effort to give residents a reason to smile, the heart lights glow in the harsh weather and darkness of the short days. This measure was started in 2008. We visited in December 2018.

I used:
Basic Grey - Hello Luscious collection papers and stickers
white gel pen
DAF flair

Enchant

This layout was made for the Dotty About Flair - Monochromatic Madness - Heamatite (Metallics) challenge.

I chose these photos of Catherine and me in Washington DC just before Christmas 2019. On my last night we went to Enchant,
a Christmas light show. The little wooden reindeer were perfect as there were reindeer hidden amoung the displays for us to find. (If you look closely behind us in the left photo you will see a little red light, which is Rudolph's nose!)
The challenge required two photos and wooden veneer.

I used:
Metallic card - silver and gold
Paper straws
white gel pen
Black Bazzill
Glittery striped patterned paper
Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits - Woodland and Snowflake
Distress Mica Spray - Crooked Broomsticks
Gems
DAF flair
Wooden raindeer
Thickers
Die cut 'Wonderful'
