Carta Bella - Old World Travel - Part II

Please see the Papermaze blog for the second of my two projects using Carta Bella 'Old World Travel' collection.
I have been using this collection to create a series of heritage layouts about my great grandfather Frederick Henry Holder and this one follows on from the previous one and shows him in his back garden in uniform.

Frederick worked for the railway for a total of 49 years, ending his working life in December 1927 as Foreman Porter at Bickley Station, near Bromley. He came here from Cannon Street where he had previously worked for five years.

I used many of the same products as I used for the first layout:
Bazzill in Truffel
From the Old World Travel collection - World Traveller, Post Cards, Border Strips and Dear To Me papers
Ephemera pack, Element Sticker sheet and Enamel Dots
Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
Bo Bunny Soirée Buttons
'Engraver' Alphabet Stickers by Prima
Hemp Cord
Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection rubber stamps - Wildflowers
Versafine Black onyx pigment ink pad

Although not designed as a double layout, I think they will look good together in the album, side by side.

Carta Bella - Old World Travel - Part I

Please see yesterday's entry on the Papermaze blog for the first of my May projects using Carta Bella 'Old World Travel' collection.
I love the texture and the heavier weight of the Carta Bella papers. This collection is no exception and has a range of colours and elements which are ideal for masculine and travel layouts and cards. I have used this collection to create the first of a series of heritage layouts about my great grandfather Frederick Henry Holder and this one is all about his work with the Railway Service.

Frederick (front row, centre) worked for the railway for a total of 49 years, ending his working life in December 1927 as Foreman Porter at Bickley Station, near Bromley. He came here from Cannon Street where he had previously worked for five years.

I used :
Bazzill in Lagoon, Stonehenge and Thunder
From the Old World Travel collection - Globes, Border Strips and Dear To Me papers
Ephemera pack, Element Sticker sheet and Enamel Dots
Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
Bo Bunny Soirée Brads
'Engraver' Alphabet Stickers by Prima
Hemp Cord
