Great Pagoda

This layout was made with the May Papermaze Crop kit, I made it a month later as I was visiting Kew Gardens as a birthday treat on the day of the May crop. It seems appropriate that the colours of these photos of my daughter and me visiting the Grand Pagoda worked well with the Maggie Holmes - Round Trip collection papers.

In addition to the kit I used:
Sizzix Tim Holtz Alphanumerics Label Thinlits die set

Lowestoft - Tea Cups

Today was the Papermaze Crop and here is my layout made from the crop kit.
I chose this old photo from a trip to Lowestoft while on holiday in Norfolk in 1997.

Thanks for another great crop and kit.

Love Liquorice

I attended the Bramford Monlthy Crop and took part in the kit for September. I used a photo of Liquorice looking up at Andrew from the floor. I used the kit much as it had been designed. The paper is glittered - and now so is my craftroom floor!

Merry & Bright

At last I have used the Papermaze 2019 Christmas Crop Kit! I didn't get a chance to make up the kit at the December Crop, and when I received this photo of my nephew's family I thought it would be ideal.

So another layout completed for Sam's Album.

Thanks for looking.

Hello Sunshine

Today was crop day at Papermaze and this is the layout made from Janina's Crop Kit. For the first crop of the year I actually started and finished the layout at the crop.

I used a photo from my recent trip to Washington to visit Catherine. The photo was taken of a very cold but sunny day sitting in wooden deckchairs on the waterfront in the quaint Old Town in Alexandria, we took the metro out to Virginia for the day to explore.

The kit contained a pack of Ephemera (Pink Paislee, Paige Evans Truly Grateful), and the Bazzill needed to make the layout.

I added some Distress Ink around the outside edge of the Bazzill to soften it. Using a piece of paper from the Truly grateful collection I had in my stash I made a journalling block. I added cross stitch to one of the paper pieces in the pack using 6 strands of DMC embroidery floss. Some pieces I glued to the page others I added a little dimension by using foam tape.

A good day at the crop.

Confetti Magic

Here is another layout from a Papermaze crop, I just needed to finish off. This time it was designed by Michelle and was from a crop I missed in September as I was travelling around Scotland.

I have used a photo from my daughter Emily's wedding two years ago for this layout and it shows them covered in confetti.

The kit included Natural and White Bazzill, and Kaisercraft Morning Dew papers and sequins.

At the crop the materials provided to complete the page were - Distress Oxide Ink Pads, stencil, White Nuvo Crystal Drops, twine, punch and alphabet dies.

From my stash I used Stickles for the word 'confetti' and a die from the Simple Stories Say Cheese 4 - Happy Words die set for the word 'magic'. I added a touch of shine to the latter with Glossy Accents.

Josephine and Keith

I am very late getting this layout blogged! It was created at last July's Papermaze Crop, and was designed by Janina.

I chose to use an old black and white photograph from my Uncle Keith's wedding to Josephine  in 1956.

Supplied in the kit for this page - Stamperia papers, Natural Bazzill, flowers, wooden heart chipboard brickwork, vanilla dew drops, jute and twine. I added a few more flowers from my stash.

Available at the crop to complete the layout was 49 & Market stamps, Martha Stewart border punch, wreath die.

I decided to add my title with a brush and ink.

Uncle Peter

This is my layout made at the October 2019 Papermaze Crop - I have only just added the final details! I'm having a New Year effort at finishing off and /or blogging some of the things I have made in recent months. This layout was designed by Vanessa.

I used this recently acquired photo of my Uncle Peter when he was a young man. This lovely masculine design was ideal to create a tribute to this lovely man who died a few weeks short of his 90th birthday in 2018.

The papers are from Fabscraps Fantasy Flight and Simple Stories Autumn Splendor. The kit contained corrugated kraft card, ric-rac, and a paper flower.  A Tim Holtz Layering Stencil, Forest Moss Distress Stain and Vintage Photo Distress Ink were available to use at the crop. I added Stickles to the butterfly wings and journalling to a spare piece of patterned paper. I fussy cut the bee from the spare paper too.

For my title I used the revers side of some of the scrap paper and the Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz XL alphabet die - Wonderland. I also used some tiny letter stickers from my stash.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I have just caught up with last month's (13th October) crop kit layout which I started at the Papermaze Crop - and it's nearly time for the next one (Saturday 10th). The pretty October layout was designed by Janina and suited the photo of my daughter and great niece, who were bridesmaids for my nephew and his new wife in September this year.

Please see the original design on the Papermaze blog.

Bless This House

The May Papermaze Crop Kit was Deisgned by Vanessa, and is a very cheerful, colourful layout. I chose this small black and white picture of the house I grew up in, which is in Beckenham, Kent. I found this photo while sorting through paperwork recently.

These bright papers are from The Bowl of Dreams collection by Jillybean Soup, and the Stay Colourful collection by American Crafts. Included in the kit were dew drops, ribbon, a paper rose and some twine. The base is white Bazzill and the lettering and vines are cut from Hillary Bazzill.

Looking forward to the next crop on Saturday.

Girl Guides

I was lucky enough to obtain a February Papermaze Crop kit despite not being able to get to the crop. I have enjoyed making this layout, brought back lots of memories.

The photo was taken about 1972 and shows my sister and me ready for a day out with the Guides. We are in the front garden of our home in Beckenham.

Flower Girl

This layout shows Rosie at a recent wedding.

The layout was made from a crop kit from Papermaze, a crop I didn't get to but was lucky to buy a kit to work on at home. I did make quite a few changes to the original.

I added a few patterned papers to the mix in the kit - Kaisercraft
My Lettering and the Tab were cut on the Cricut.
The heart, circle and doily are all from the same Sizzlets set.
Prima doll stamp
Organza Ribbon
Small Heart Punch
Colouring with Promarkers

Another page completed for Rosie's album.
