CSI - Snow White

This is my answer to another of this month's CSI challenges (306). I used many of the traditional clues to scrapbook photos from my daughter Catherine's time as Deputy Stage Manager for the Pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Churchill Theatre, Bromley in December 2017.  I used a couple of photos of the Dwarfs posing backstage.

You can see the full details for all three January 2020 challenges on the website and on the CSI Scrapbook Challenge Facebook page.

The clues I used are:
Floral Pattern (in the Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper)
Dots - flat-backed self-adhesive pearls and gems
Flowers and leaves in the papers, rub-ons,chipboard shapes and element stickers
Butterflies (in the Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper)
Die cuts - The stickers and chipboard shapes, as well as the letters I cut for the title
Create a pedestal - for the large cake from paper
Multi-coloured alphabet - die cut letters from different coloured papers
Something Powder - clear embossing powder for the letters

Colours used from the code - turquoise, fuchsia, bright lemon yellow, white and powder blue

I used paper, element stickers, rub-ons and chipboard stickers from one Basic Grey collection - Urban Prairie.
In addition I used Sizzix Sizzlit alphabet dies
Versamark Ink and clear embossing powder.
Nuvo Crystal Drops
Paper Flower
Gems and pearls

Thanks for looking, I have one more challenge layout to share for January.

CSI - The Woman In Black

This is my answer to one of this month's CSI challenges (307). I used many of the traditional clues to scrapbook photos from my daughter Catherine's recent experience of being Deputy Stage Manager and taking the current UK tour of The Woman In Black to Washington DC for three weeks last December.

You can see the full details for all three January 2020 challenges on the website and on the CSI Scrapbook Challenge Facebook page.

The clues I used are:
Plaid (in the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers paper)
Graph paper and pens and paintbrushes (in the Basic Grey Recess paper)
Mustache, tags, and eyeglasses (in the Basic Grey Element Stickers)
Books (in the Basic Grey Oxford paper)
Transparent (Glossy Accents for lenses in Glasses)
Mushroom, medium teal, black, white and rust from the colour codes.
This play is a thriller and has a strong detective element running through it
Something Powder (Black embossing powder on word 'Black' chipboard letters)
Labels (Stickers from Basic Grey collections)

I used paper, element stickers and alphabet stickers from three Basic Grey collections.
In addition I used Sizzix dies - Thinlits Alphanumeric Label set and vintage lace Sizzlit.
Chipboard letters with Versamark Ink and Black embossing powder.
Nuvo Crystal Drops
DMC Thread

Confetti Magic

Here is another layout from a Papermaze crop, I just needed to finish off. This time it was designed by Michelle and was from a crop I missed in September as I was travelling around Scotland.

I have used a photo from my daughter Emily's wedding two years ago for this layout and it shows them covered in confetti.

The kit included Natural and White Bazzill, and Kaisercraft Morning Dew papers and sequins.

At the crop the materials provided to complete the page were - Distress Oxide Ink Pads, stencil, White Nuvo Crystal Drops, twine, punch and alphabet dies.

From my stash I used Stickles for the word 'confetti' and a die from the Simple Stories Say Cheese 4 - Happy Words die set for the word 'magic'. I added a touch of shine to the latter with Glossy Accents.

Josephine and Keith

I am very late getting this layout blogged! It was created at last July's Papermaze Crop, and was designed by Janina.

I chose to use an old black and white photograph from my Uncle Keith's wedding to Josephine  in 1956.

Supplied in the kit for this page - Stamperia papers, Natural Bazzill, flowers, wooden heart chipboard brickwork, vanilla dew drops, jute and twine. I added a few more flowers from my stash.

Available at the crop to complete the layout was 49 & Market stamps, Martha Stewart border punch, wreath die.

I decided to add my title with a brush and ink.

Uncle Peter

This is my layout made at the October 2019 Papermaze Crop - I have only just added the final details! I'm having a New Year effort at finishing off and /or blogging some of the things I have made in recent months. This layout was designed by Vanessa.

I used this recently acquired photo of my Uncle Peter when he was a young man. This lovely masculine design was ideal to create a tribute to this lovely man who died a few weeks short of his 90th birthday in 2018.

The papers are from Fabscraps Fantasy Flight and Simple Stories Autumn Splendor. The kit contained corrugated kraft card, ric-rac, and a paper flower.  A Tim Holtz Layering Stencil, Forest Moss Distress Stain and Vintage Photo Distress Ink were available to use at the crop. I added Stickles to the butterfly wings and journalling to a spare piece of patterned paper. I fussy cut the bee from the spare paper too.

For my title I used the revers side of some of the scrap paper and the Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz XL alphabet die - Wonderland. I also used some tiny letter stickers from my stash.

Christingle

Hello - Lynn back with the last of my Christmas layouts made with the December Papermaze kit. To purchase the kit and have a look at the other products please see the new shop website. If you are interested in how the layout was made please see the Papermaze Blog.

For this layout I used this old favourite photo from 1995, when the children were dressed up for the Christingle Service at our local church. I have scrapped this again so I can place a layout in each of the children's scrapbook albums.  I'm not sure the photo does justice to the amount of sparkle in these trees!

Items used from the kit:
Grenadine, Safari, Mocha Divine, and Fawn Bazzill
Kaisercraft - Under the Gum Leaves collection - Protea
Doily

From my stash I added:

Super Sparkle embossing powder
Wanted Sizzix Sizzlit alphabet die
Crystals Stickles.
three wooden stars

That's all for the December kit, and I will be back next with the January kit.
Thanks for looking.
