Scarlett Rose
Scarlett Rose is the newest member of the family, she is my great niece, born to my nephew Sam and his fiancée Chelsey last November. I can't really believe this cute little baby girl is already 6 months old!
I made this using the delightful April kit from Papermaze, These kits are such great value for money and you get six sheets of patterned paper, 2 sheets of Bazzill and a bag of embellishments. I also had the extra 4 sheets of matched cardstock. The colours are stunning, not sure my photo does them justice. Here is a photo of the kit. I have only made one page so far, but there is plenty more to play with.
I used three sheets of Bazzill for the base of this layout. The first was Whirlpool, the second Blossom and the third layer was Lily. I cut the latter two down in size slightly to give a fine border and the former two were gutted.
I just loved the little square designs on the Kind paper from the Be You collection by Pink Fresh. The reminded me of the flower dies in the new Sizzix Thinlits Funky Floral #3 set from Tim Holtz, so I simply had to combine the two!
I used a QuicKutz alphabet for 'SCARLETT ROSE' and another Sizzix Thinlits Tim Holtz set for the months (thanks for the loan Sandra x).

Treetops
Here is the second layout from my Design Team blog post created earlier this month. I made the layouts using the Papermaze May Monthly Kit. Such a delightful selection of colours, papers, cardstock and colours as always. If you wish to buy a kit and it is out of stock - please call the shop as I know Vanessa is waiting for more stock to come in.
This layout was about my daughter and her fiancé on the day they got the keys to their own home. I used plenty of the cardstock for this page as well as a lot of left over patterned papers. Please see the blog for full details on how I made the page and what products from the kit I used.

Brighton Rock
Earlier this month I created two layouts using the Papermaze May Monthly Kit for my Design Team blog post. This was the second post using this lovely kit.
Here is one of those layouts, using a photo of my daughter in a sweet shop in Brighton, we were visiting my son and doing the Sea Dog trail in December 2016.
I loved the colours and the quilted pattern of the Beginnings Four paper from Authentique and so made a wide border with it. I also liked the pink brick work side of the Kaisercraft So Amazing paper. I had fun creating the bunting with Baker's twine and aa selection of embellishments from the kit and my stash.
For full details on what I used and how I made the page please see the Papermaze blog.

Bless This House
The May Papermaze Crop Kit was Deisgned by Vanessa, and is a very cheerful, colourful layout. I chose this small black and white picture of the house I grew up in, which is in Beckenham, Kent. I found this photo while sorting through paperwork recently.
These bright papers are from The Bowl of Dreams collection by Jillybean Soup, and the Stay Colourful collection by American Crafts. Included in the kit were dew drops, ribbon, a paper rose and some twine. The base is white Bazzill and the lettering and vines are cut from Hillary Bazzill.
Looking forward to the next crop on Saturday.

Happy Making Music
Catching up on the Papermaze Crop Kit layouts and this one is from April, and was designed by the creative Anna Parker.
I chose this photo of my great niece Jessica playing her cello a few years ago.
The layout is made with a total of five different colours of Bazzill cardstock, from a whole sheet of Kraft for the base to small pieces for the die cutting. The patterned papers are both from the Bliss collection by Simple Stories. The kit included lace and a lilac doily. Various dies and punches were available to use at the crop.
Thanks for looking, back with the May layout tomorrow.

Starlight Express Workshop
Last year my daughter Catherine was involved in stage managing a workshop in London (The Other Palace) - Starlight Express. She had the opportunity to work with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Arlene Phillips, Richard Stilgo and a talented team of actors/dancers. It was an experiment to see if they could bring the show into the 21st century for possible re-introduction to the UK in the future. Although this was mainly for rehearsal time, I was lucky enough to get to see the show. Having seen the original back in the 1980's it was wonderful to see this experiment in 2017. It brought back some great memories, and I hope the show returns to London.
When Vanessa of Papermaze designed this layout for the crop kit back in March it was ideal for this photo of the Company.

The paper used is Graphic 45 - Star Studded from the Vintage Hollywood collection together with Bazzill cardstock in three colours. Also used were string, flowers, a black doily, and wooden stars. Various punches and dies were available at the crop.
Good luck with the Show.
Thanks for the inspirations Vanessa.

Blessed, Grateful, Thankful
Here is the second of my layouts using the May Papermaze Kit.
I love the way the kit encourages you to mix papers from different companies in the same project, rather than always reaching for papers from the same collection.
As I had just moved house most of my craft materials were still packed as we are busy preparing a craft room. So I created the layout with a minimum of tools and equipment. Also we had no internet for two weeks and the computers were only just set up so I have been depending on a box of photos I had to hand.I selected an old 1963 photo of myself.
Please see the Papermaze blog for detials on how I made the layout.

Although I had created two layouts, I had plenty of paper, card and embellishments left so I created two more layouts. Back with details of these soon. Meanwhile the kit is available to purchase from the shop, please see online or call the shop.

Fabulous Four
Every month Vanessa and her team at Papermaze put together a popular scrapbooking kit, carefully selecting papers from a variety of current collections, together with coordinating cardstock and embellishments. These kits are designed for you to create your own layouts and so do not contain any instructions.
Occasionally people have said they would like some ideas to go with the kit to help in making a start. So I thought it would be a good idea to do a couple of blog posts showing some things I made with the pretty May kit and hope this will inspire you. Please see full detials on how I made the layout the Papermaze blog HERE.
I was inspired by a post I spotted on NĹ‘iCsizma blog. I chose a photo of my nephew and his family and hope to frame this for them later.

I used Bazzill, patterned papers and embellishments from the may kit together with a Sizzix die.
I will be back over the next few days with the other three layouts I made from this kit.
