Felt Christmas Tree Decorations

On a recent visit to Diss, about 9 miles from my new home, I found a super craft shop called Albright of Diss. The owner Gloria stocks some lovely fabrics and sewing materials as well as stamps, beads and paper crafts. I booked into a class run by Lesley Hawes to make these delightful felt Christmas tree decorations.

So, on Thursday I met a lovely group of ladies and we worked our way through making these eight felt decorations, under theguidance of Lesley who had prepared a kit for each one.

Thanks to Gloria for the class and company, a great day was had by all.

Thanks for looking.

Thomas & Elizabeth Billington

I received some new family history photographs via a distant relative I have made contact with on Ancestry recently.  The photo I have chosen is this delightful image of my husband's 2 x great grandparents. So using the October Papermaze kit I created this layout for the Cooper family scrapbook.

Full details of how the layout was made and the materials I used, can be found on the blog. You will also find links to the papers, cardstock and embellishments in the shop.

Thanks to my friend Anita for the beautiful lace doily which I added to kit to set this photograph off.

Thanks for looking, back with more from this kit soon.

Night & Day

The October Papermaze kit has been released and I have made four new layouts to share. Here is the first page, for which I have chosen to feature a day and night time photo from my first Brownie pack holiday!

I used lots of clocks from the Bo Bunny Early Bird paper together with a Tando Creative clock face. The contracs of the gold Glitter Kiss on the dark blue Bazzill through a stencil.  For full detials of the papers and embellishments used together with full instructions, please see the Papermaze shop and the blog.

10 Months

A little extra layout made using the Papermaze September Kit.

Not the colours you would normally associate with a baby layout. However, I had the remainder of the kit on my table, when I laid down some photos I had just printed of baby Scarlett Rose who has just turned 10 months old. The colouring was perfect for the photos, so I set about making another layout!

For details of the kit, and how this layout was made please see the Scrap, Paper, Scissors blog and the Papermaze shop website.

Thanks for looking, back soon with the October Kit.

We Will Remember Them - 1918 - 2018

I thought I would have a go as the CS Get Crafty October sketch challenge. We are approaching November 11th, so I decided to use the centenary of the end of World War I and some of my ancestors who fought in the war as my theme for the layout.

Here is the sketch:

I used a mix of different papers, including the remains of a sheet of paper from the Mintay Farmlife collection left over from the layout I made using a C&S Get Crafty kit. This is where I cut, gutted and inked the six frames from.

I printed out photos for six ancestors from my mother's family. I used papers from several older Kaisercraft collections:
Timeless Collection - Botanical
Be-You-Tiful collection - Glamorous
In The Attic collection - Closet
Base Coat collection -

Remember Me collection - Sticker sheet

My title was cut with a Crafter's Companion alphabet and was layered up with scraps of the papers used for the rest of the page.
