2025 - A year in the Life of Florence

This is my layout for the Peartree Cutfile March Colour Challenge. The colour this month is pink.
I used the Calendar cutfile to make this page to front the 2024 layouts for Florence's scrapbook.

For this layout I did some stash busting, and went into my box of Basic Grey collections.
I used:
Basic Grey - Out Of Print collection - papers and alphabet stickers
Bazzill - Cream PuffStar stencil
Distress Inks
Star gems

While I was, making the above layout, I decided to make another for the first page of the album, as Florence was born in May, I just needed to trim off the first row (4 months).

For this layout I used:
49 and Market - Spectrum Sherbet Foundation Rainbows paper
Cricut
Scraps from the first layout
Bazzill - pink and blue scraps
Autumn Leaves rubons - dates years months
Distress Stains

Cow Dung & Madder Roots

Here is my layout for Paige Evans' SKETCH OF THE WEEK - 18th March 2024 challenge. The sketch is given on the facebook group page, along with a youtube video. You share your layout on the page, to be put in a random draw to win the challenge. There is also a downloadable file for cutting the petals.

I chose these photos of the Madder Roots Cows, in Shenstone Park, in Crayford where I used to live. The park is opposite the site of the now disused David Evans Silk Works. Cow dung and madder roots were used for dying the silk. The roots giving the orange colour and the dung helping to set the dye.

I used:
Basic Grey - Hopscotch collection papers, alphabet stickers and element stickers
Basic Grey - Wholy Cow Rub-ons
Black marker pen
Distress Inks
Cricut
