Touring Scotland with the EV - Day 6

Day 6 (Friday, 7th October)

Nearly at the end of our first eventful week travelling to and around Scotland. Today we left the most comfortable B&B yet (not that we have had a bad one). Over breakfast of scrambled egg with smoked salmon the owners of Sealladh Sona (peaceful View) explained they had been visited only the day before by the undercover hotel inspector and retained their four star rating. 

We drove down the west bank of Loch Ness to Drumnadrochit, just 15 miles away, stopping to take photos on route. 

  

An interesting few hours in the Loch Ness Centre and Exhibition, we had coffee in the  hotel there looking out over Loch Ness.

We took a little drive out to Glen Urquhart passing Loch Meiklie, and these are some of the locals!

Back into Drumnadrochit to the Information Centre and car park to charge the car. We did have a problem with the charger here, luckily we were able to charge at the next B&B, but we would have had enough to get us to the next charge point on route to Skye the next day.

Another excellent B & B, with a great room and friendly staff -Woodlands Guest House.

From here we walked to The Loch Ness Inn Hotel and Restaurant for an evening meal.
