Bluewater

52 Walks with my Camera - Week 5 - Bluewater

This week I took my camera shopping! Wandering around the rather unique Bluewater shopping centre, I took about 40 pictures, I have chosen a few to share here. I'm always fascinated by the attention to detail in the architecture in the modern building. There are some really great shops there too.

.... and finally outside, with a reflection for the challenge.

Log - 52 Walks with My Camera in 2010 so far: 1. Bexleyheath 2. Woodbridge 3. Hall Place 4. Chislehurst 5. Bluewater

Colourful Critters

I decided to have a go at the Passion for Promarkers weekly challenge this week. The theme is 'All Creatures Great and Small' using any colours. I had to take a good look in my stamp store for creature stamps, not something I have a lot of considering the size of my stamp collection!!

I chose these fun bug stamps from Woodware and stamped then onto white card in black ink. I also found the tulips in the window box stamp, which I think is an old Penny Black stamp from when I first started stamping. Then coloured them with the Promarkers. I chose colours to go with the 'Oh Baby' line of papers from Basic Grey. These were cut and placed on the card with 3D foam pads. I added flower stamen for antenna . My large butterfly might have trouble taking off with the weight of his antenna ! There is lots of stickles on the wings and highlights in white gel pen.

Peeping Posy!

Here is a card I made in response to challenge #15 on the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog. The idea is to make an aperture / window card using Kraftin' Kimmie images.

So I used 'Posy' with a very old stamp from my collection, so old I can't tell you what make it is!
Added to this is some Basic Grey, Two Scoops papers. Polly is available from Quixotic Paperie.

Here is the outside.....

... and on the inside ...

This was good fun to make, thanks for the challenge.

Twins

For the birthday of my God-daughter and her twin sister I have been busy with my new Kraftin' Kimmies Stamps from Quixotic Paperie.

For Jessica I have used this super girl called 'Posy' and some Cherry Hill papers from October Afternoon, as she has tiny cherries on her pockets. I used red flowers and some ribbon roses to tie in with the posy of roses she carries. I curled he wire stems. There is also ribbon, chalk ink and Promarkers in use here.

For Jessica's sister, Holly I used this curly girl called 'Charlotte'. Each of these stamps come with a small accessory stamp and I used the extra doll and placed her at Charlotte's feet.

The papers for this card are from Basic Grey. The flowers, ribbon, gems and brads are a selection from my stash.

Chester

Have been busy with another of my lush new stamps from Kraftin' Kimmies. via Elaine at Quixotic Paperie. This one for Alex, my daughter's boyfriend as he was dressed like 'Chester' for a recent Cosplay event. I used more Basic Grey papers, this time some very old Vagabond scraps. I coloured Chester with Promarkers. I added a fine string to his eye, and with a drop of Diamond Glaze he is now the proud owner of a monocle.
Happy Birthday Alex!

Snow Girl

Treated myself to some Kraftin' Kimmie stamps from Quixotic Paperie and tried this one out with some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses papers. Lots of stickles, snowflakes, ribbons and lace. Great fun, and maybe not too Christmasy for a January birthday, especially when it snows!
