Mellennium Fun With Paint and Glass

The Journey for Change Challenge is still running on FTLOPP facebook group, and here is my answer to challenge #8 - Moving with the Times. So to make a layout with moving parts. I have chosen to make a folder to hold some newspaper reports and my journalling.

I started scrapping this photo some years ago and it has been unfinished in my craft room since. When I found it I decided to start again and usie it for this challenge.

Back in 2000, I was asked if I could design a stained glass window to go in the school hall. There was an old one put in when the school was built, but an extension meant there would be a similar window at the other end of the hall. So I set about designing the window, and ended up painting it with glass paints and the help of two other parents. Luckily we were able to do this before the panels were installed.

With some Colour Study papers from Vicki Boutin's collection I made a folder for the cuttings. I used some mini tags from Doodlebug Designs Inc. I tied these together with some twine.

The letter stickers were also from Doodlebug Designs Inc.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

I have created this layout for a DAF challenge #13 - set by Sally and using a sketch. I used a photo of the girls in their dance school show, at Dartford Orchard Theatre. The show was called A Date to Dance and they did a tap dance to Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

I did some stash busting by using some Christmas papers from Basic Grey's Jovial collection.
I also selected letter stickers from Basic Grey.

Two DAF flair were placed over some BG bauble stickers and I added silver strings.

I used some sticky stars to add some sparkle.

Changing Rooms

Over on the facebook group - FTLOPP - challenge #2 for the Journey of Change is to document Changing Rooms. So I decided to scrap photos of the changes we made to our living room. We moved into this house in 2018 and brought some old sofas and curtains to use until we got a chance to replace and decorate. Early 2021 finally saw these changes. It took some time to redecorate as there as four doors and two windows, and all the paintwork was badly painted before. The beams had paint slopped on them from previously and there were plenty of crackes in the plaster surrounding them. Once redecorated the room we had a wait for the sofas and I made new curtains.

I used:
My Mind's Eye - On the Bright Side collection
Making Memories - Die Cut Scallop Flower Patch
Echo Park - So Lovely stickers
Decorative pins & safety pin
Metal flowers
