Rain'bows'!

The Scrapology card challenge this month is sponsored by Sue Wilson, here are the two cards I made using one of her Creative Expression dies for the design team gallery.

Thank you to fellow design team member Sandra for lending me her die set 'Finishing Touches - Classic 3D Bow set at a recent crop.

I cut two sets of bow pieces in each of the seven colours of the rainbow from Core'dinations card stock. I used A4 card blanks from Craft Creations, and some black and white Bazzill.

I cut the black greetings using the Cricut and the white greetings are glittery 'Peel-offs'. I inked all the edges with distress inks - Work Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, Broken China & Dusty Concord.
The only other ingredient was a lot of wet glue!!

Please pop over to Scrapology to see what the rest of the team have made and to find out more about the challenge and the prize Sue is offering.

Christmas Cards - Create A Critter 2

I wanted to make my cropping friends a card each for Christmas  - I got the Cricut out and set to work with the Create a Critter 2 cartridge.

Choosing this delightful bird on with the word 'JOY' seemed a good idea. I sorted out lots of scrap cardstock, some Craft Creations card blanks, and some copyright free Christmas sheet music.

I ended up with several variations of the basic idea, but they all had flat-backed pearls for mistletoe berries, and for the bird's eyes and a satin ribbon for the wreath.

I hope all those who received one of these cards likes them and I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! xxx

Winter White Christmas Card

This month's card challenge on Scrapology has been set by Natalie O'Shea from Stampin' Up.
Natalie challenges us to create a card featuring a product / tool not normally associated with Xmas used for a Christmas card ....

Here is my second card for the DT in answer to that challenge.

I used a variety of flower and leaf punches, as well as a circle and scalloped circle punches. Flat backed pearls, Liquid Pearls, crystal Stickles, SU ribbon, Lili of the Valley Sentiment stamp. All on a textured white 6" x 6" card blank from Craft Creations.

Take a look on the Scrapology blog for more details and to see what the rest of the DT came up with. There is also a fabby stampy prize on offer.

Magic Spinner

Happy Birthday To George.

Catherine took George out to London last night for his birthday. She purchased tickets for them to see Darren Brown. So she wanted me to make a card to pop the tickets into.

I had been meaning to try out the idea of making a spinner card for a while and so cut a
magician character with the Cricut and the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I used a Craft Creations large card bank.
The patterned paper is from Magnolia and was mounted onto some card to stiffen it. then a slot was cut through the two using the Word Window Punch from Stampin' Up. The character is mounted onto two pennies with some 3D foam pads in between and one of these coins lays either side of the slot. The whole thing is then mounted onto the card blank with more 3D foam to hold it away from the card a little. Then hey presto, it spins!

I then added some miniature playing card from a Christmas cracker set. The greeting is a stamp from a Stampin' Up hostess set of birthday greetings.
So happy birthday George and I hope you both had a lovely evening at the theater. Hope you like the card too.

Wedding Tea

I was asked to make another of the wedding boxes I made last year, for my sister's friend. This time the theme was to be tea party and the colours navy and cream. Geraldine and Richard were married at the end of April.

I purchased several sheets of pearlised navy wrapping paper from Paperchase and lots of navy and cream Bazzill cardstock. Then using the 'Once Upon a Princess' Cricut cartridge and a Martha Steward 'round the page' punch set, I came up with this box.

Sylvia also wanted a card to send Geraldine and Richard for their wedding day. I made one using some of the same items and some Basic Grey papers.

For the card I also used a Craft Creations card blank in navy, perfect pearls gems and the Designer's Calender Cartridge for lettering.
For the greeting I used a Lili of the Valley greeting stamp, Stampin' Up ink and circle punch and a Woodware scalloped circle punch..

Best wishes to Geraldine and Richard. x
