Wild Christmas Cards !

I was running a bit late with the preparations for my scrapbooking friends as I had been busy making the owl pot holders but wanted still to make them all a Christmas card. I leafed through my Cricut Cartridge box and found the Wild Card Cartridge and created these cards reasonable quickly.

All these cuts are on the same page and button of the cartridge.

They are made from Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding collection, with some random ribbons from my stash and a gem.

Easter meets Christmas and a Prize

The card challenge on Scrapology for the month of December was set by our own design team member Lou Collins. Lou challenged us all to recycle when making a card. Lo)u is offering a great prize for the winner of this challenge too (more details on Scrapology).

I used a piece of paper cut from the front cover of a gardening magazine, and some paper scraps from Basic Grey. The reindeer was cut on the Cricut with the Christmas Cartridge and some kraft card which was the packaging in some cards materials I have had for some time. 

I also used a Lili of the Valley greetings stamp and a rosette made from more of the patterned paper.
The snowflake border was cut with a Memory Box die.

The bell and ribbon are from a well known chocolate Easter bunny!

I added a few dabs of gold and crystal Stickles, and lots of brown and green chalk inks.

Merry Christmas with Paint Chips and Prize

The card challenge on Scrapology for the month of December was set by our own design team member Lou Collins. Lou challenged us all to recycle when making a card. Lo)u is offering a great prize for the winner of this challenge too (more details on Scrapology)

I used some paint chips together with Martha Stewart punches and added a tiny dot of Ranger's Liquid Pearls to the centre of each blossom. greenery was glittered up with some Ranger Stickles. The card is made from Kraft cardstock and the embossed white card is by Doodlebug Design.

I also used a Lili of the Valley greetings stamp, Stampin' Up circle punch and a Woodware scalloped circle punch with a few scraps of Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper.
The ribbon was also recycled from the packaging on a pair of pyjamas.

Proud Mummy Moment / Week!

Emily sent me a truly thoughtful gift, on 1st December I received a package containing seven envelopes numbered 1 to 7. They were the beginning of an advent calendar. She said she has so appreciated the various advent gifts and surprises I had made or done for her during her childhood she wanted to do something special for me. The lovely thing is they contain letters with memories of those Christmases from her younger days, links to lovely video clips, and some small gifts as well. Each day is a great surprise. Needless to say another seven envelopes arrived in time for today and the week ahead.

I can't wait for 18th and your return home for Christmas Emily, and thank you for your lovely gift - looking forward to opening envelope number 9 tomorrow!
