Disneyland Paris 2001

I saw a layout by Stacey Cohen which I liked and had some of the Queen and Co papers she used together with some different ones, so decided to give it a go as I am trying to scrap some more photos of Andrew and also of our various Disney trips.

52 Christmas Crackers - Week 35

My Christmas card for week 35 which called for 'Januty Angles'. So we could tilt the background papers or your card sentiment, or even a full out diagonal on the card design! Please see Kool Kitty Musings Blog for details of the challenge.

Here is my card:

I had been sorting out some old Craftwork Cards bits and pieces and found this embossed topper. Keeping it very simple I decided to use the white and gold topper together with some old Scenic Route papers and some Card Candi (also from Craftwork Cards).

Greeting stamp -  a freebie from a magazine
3D foam pads to hold the mounted rub-on in place, the greeting in stamped on cardstock and mounted on a larger strip of cardstock which slips under the image for further greetings.

Mother's Day Card

 

A card I made for my lovely Mum for mother's day.

I used the Cricut and the Freshly Picked Cartridge.

The papers are Phoebe from Basic Grey.

Card Candi from Craftwork Cards.

Letter stickers are American Crafts.

Boys Will Be Boys - Oliver's Birthday

Today is the fourth birthday of our triplet nephew and nieces, so I'm going to share their cards with you.

Today is Oliver's turn. I recently purchased some digital cartridges for the Cricut for use the the Craft Room Programme. I created this Easel card with the Boys will Be Boys Cartridge.

I used:
An 8" x 8" scalloped white card blank
Lots of scraps of Basic Grey Ambrosia papers
Silver Miri card
Craftwork Cards Card Candi
Bazzill cardstock in red, grey, and black
2 googly eyes.

The numbers and letters are also cut from the same cartridge.

I decided while playing with the programme to cut a second robot and so made another card using scraps from Basic Grey's Cupcake collection and a red card blank.

Memories of a Special Day

Catherine and the Head Teacher, Mr Collins at Trinity School. In the November after Catherine had left school we returned with her for the presentation ceremony for A level certificates.

We were thrilled and surprised to discover that she had been awarded head teacher's Award for 2010 An event I blogged at the time 'What A Day'.

Recently I did one of Anita's scrapbooking classes and chose to record this event. 

The papers in the kit were from Simple Stories - Documented collection, together with lots of black Bazzill. Anita had Sizzix dies available to use too. The kit included some special bobbly packing paper gold candi and some cream organza ribbon.

I added in a hit of Magenta to match Catherine's dress with a scrap of Bo Bunny - Garden Girl paper and some ribbon.

I used this panel from the papers for my journalling on the front of the zig-zag fold book.

Inside the book I added more places for journalling and thought Catheirne might like to add some words here herself.

I added more photos from the event.

It was a special and and a very happy memory for Catherine to treasure forever.

A Day Out In London 1973

I was reminded of this photo when I say the designs on these Sassafras Indie Girl papers a few years ago, and the other day I found the photo. One of the papers is called 'eclectic elegance' which sums up the mixture of clothing we wore!

The hidden journalling reads "Mum took us to London for the day to meet up with her friend (my Godmother) Barbara. Barbara took this photo, catching us unaware. Unlike the boy to the right who looks like a statue, but must be posing for a photo himself! I'm in the background taking a photo of Horseguard's Parade - I'm wearing a purple skirt and a white top with red and blue anchors printed all over it (what a combination - but I remember them being favourites). Sylvia (my sister) is in a pink floral smock with rainbow sling back platform shoes, and my brother, Robert is wearing a blue toweling smiley face T-shirt and very short shorts! I remember these clothes and the occasion well."

I made this in response to the current Page Maps Sketch Challenge - Sweet Shoppe digi sketch contest.


I used Sassafras products from the Indie Girl collection (left over from a class I attended two years ago) The papers are Eclectic Elegance and Mellow, also Indie Flag Banner cardstock stickers and cardstock pink glitter alpha stickers (for the date).
The title is Paper Treats white alphabet epoxy stickes from Around the Block.
In addition I used:

Burnt Sienna Promarker for journalling
Rich Cocoa Memento Ink Pad
ColorBox chalk ink

Happy Birthday Simon

I made a card for Simon as it's his birthday today.

I made the card during the Jubilee weekend.

As Simon lives in London I thought he would appreciate this image.

This card was designed for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge - week 204 - and a CASE-IT CHALLENGE. Here is Kath's original:

I downloaded the union Jack from the Letraset website. There is a Promarker tutorial there by Jak Heath - for colouring the downloads to make a 'Queen for the Day' card. I decided to print it onto three different patterned papers, cut them out and piece them back together.

The papers and the greeting were all freebies from Simply Homemade Magazine- 'The Simply British Collection'.

The stamped image is Penny Black and I coloured it with my Promarkers.

The 8" x 8" scalloped card blank and silver Candi are both from Craftwork Cards.

The letter stickers are from Basic Grey's 'What's Up' collection.

The greeting was mounted onto a punched circle and then onto a scalloped circle using Stampin' Up and Woodware punches.

Fiaries at the Bottom of the Garden

This layout shows the girls dressed for a Dance Fiction show, when they danced to Secret Garden in their ballet piece, way back in 2001.  I made this on Saturday at the Paper Maze crop.

I made this layout using this Page Maps sketch in response to the Imaginesce challenge on the Page Maps blog.

I used:

Basic Grey - Indie Bloom Collection - Flamenco, panache and cilantro papers, element and alphabet stickers. Also Alphabet stickers from the Out of Print collection.

Scrapology Prize for February

The prize for the February challenge has been announced over on the Scrapology blog.

Jill of Cardinal Colours is offering a Craftwork Cards Candi Storage box (Empty plastic storage box containing 13 mini-boxes ready for you to fill with Candi flavours) and six packs of Candi to go inside. Candi are just like brads, but legless! They are attached to your layout or card using 3D foam pads.
